The Day of the Scanian Flag

After a break of one year the SSFD will resume the celebration of the Scanian Flag Day (Skåneländska Flaggans Dag). The tradition started almost forty years ago – in 1967 - at the cottage café of Bialitt between Marieholm and Röstånga in the country side of Skåne.

The Day of the Scanian Flag has always taken place on the third Sunday in July. This year the flag will be celebrated on Sunday 16 July and the place will be Kronetorps Mölla in Arlöv. The event is a joint venture between the Municipality of Burlöv, members of the Burlöv women's voluntary defence service and the Foundation for the Scanian Flags Day (SSFD).

The program will start at 11 am, the Flag hoisting ceremony will take place at 12 noon and there will be many activities in the afternoon until 1600 pm, including a flee market.

The arrangers send words that everyone is welcome and bring the children. There will be activities for them as well.
