Byahornet

If there was a Scanian Nobel Prize, a strong candidate would have been the Biarner family for publishing the Scanian publication Byahornet. The booklet is published five times a year and it is all about life and mentality in Skåne during the years past. And much of it in a language spoken i Skåne not so long ago. As the publisher say: “No ads, nothing political, nothing religious, just honest old fashion Scanian reading”. It can’t be better said.

While the professors, teachers and academics at the Scanian universities in Lund and other places are failing big-time in recognising, researching and teaching the historic Scanian language the Byahornet is writing actual down-to-earth history. In every issue, five times a year, year after year, for sixty-five years. Probably without any form of grants from anywhere.

Some time ago the new generation Biarner (Cecilia) has taken over and all I will say is this: Keep up the good work!
